Stage 01 of 03

The challenge.

Security services companies operate in a category where customer decisions happen at moments of real concern — a break-in at a commercial premises, a staffing change on a security contract, a new site opening that needs covering from day one. The brand needs to project strength and competence quickly, in the moments those decisions are made, without descending into the heavy-handed military aesthetics — black, gold, eagles, badges — that dominate so much of the wider security services category and can read as posturing rather than reassurance.

Taur Security needed a full brand identity system capable of working consistently across every touchpoint a working security operation produces in daily use: uniforms, vehicles, ID, on-site signage, marketing collateral, web and digital. The brief covered identity, supporting visual system, commissioned brand photography and the rollout templates needed to apply the brand cleanly across operational deployments. The work had to be credible to commercial buyers (premises managers, retail operations leads, event organisers) on first impression and durable across years of operational wear.

Stage 02 of 03

The approach.

A modern, memorable wordmark was designed using bold, clean letterforms — strength conveyed through confident proportions and disciplined construction rather than through aggressive visual language. The supporting visual system was developed for consistent, repeatable application across every operational context the business uses: uniforms (high-visibility and corporate options), vehicle livery, ID and access cards, on-site signage, marketing collateral and digital platforms. Each application was specified to hold up under real-world use rather than only on a clean mockup.

Photography was commissioned across the operation, capturing the team and fleet in genuine operational contexts rather than staged scenarios — site coverage, vehicle deployment, uniformed staff in real working environments. The imagery was produced for direct use across web, paid marketing, partner pitches and recruitment material. Brand guidelines were written to document the system in enough detail that the in-house team and external partners — uniform suppliers, signage installers, vehicle wrap specialists — could apply the identity consistently without further design input.

Stage 03 of 03

The outcome.

A complete security services brand identity system was delivered, with documented implementation guidance for vehicle livery, uniforms, ID, signage, stationery and digital assets, and a supporting commissioned brand photography library covering team and fleet in operational contexts. The system was built to be applied across the live operation rather than only across marketing materials, with rollout templates that accommodate the practical realities of high-visibility uniform spec, fleet branding and customer-site signage.

The identity has continued to serve Taur Security across day-to-day operations, supporting the credibility that matters most at the moment a prospective client first encounters the brand — at a site, on the road, on a pitch document, on the website. The combined work has given the business a coherent presence consistent with the standard of the operation, and the brand and photography library remain in active use as the company grows into new contracts and additional sites.
